Where were you born? I was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1983. That would make me nearly 29. What's so cool about that place? Well, I suppose we have an awesome amusement park not to far away from where I am from. We have a great zoo. Besides that its not that impressive. Do you enjoy Ohio? No, I'd rather live in the south somewhere. Are you into horoscopes? If so what's your sign? Nah. For one I am to different signs (Cancer and Gemini) which makes no sense. And I can't see one horoscope relating to so many people. If you weren't a writer what would you want to be? A psychologist. I would love to figure out why people are the way they are and what makes them tick. Not to mention helping them with any issues they had. On a typical day what is your life like? I'm a mother of four and a wife. So, life is always filled with tons to do around my house. I just had a baby in January, so now I have added taking care of a newborn on top of everything. What do you love? I love laughing. My family. Sitting at home with the ones I love. I love Grey's anatomy. Duck dynasty. I love hanging with my husband. And texting silly nonsense with my sister every day. What do you hate? I don't hate anything. But I do strongly dislike people that are negative all the time. And selfishness, liars and bad music. I hate touching anything in the freezer, and people who interrupt you when you talking. Any obsessions? I am obsessed with collecting movies. I don't watch them, I just like knowing I own them and if one day I get bored enough I will have something to watch. Favorite books?
Flat out love by Jessica Park. This book is just amazing. It had a way of touching every fiber of my soul. It was funny and serious and sad and a love story all rolled into one. Not to mention the mystery. It's the perfect book and my favorite. Eve is a bit crazy are you anything like her? For sure. All those thoughts that swirled through the poor girl's mind were eerily similar to my own. Who would you prefer Evan or Kenny? Hands down Kenny. Because he is a sarcastic jerk but at the same time would do anything for the one he loves. You write a lot about death, why is that? Because its one of the most interesting things to me. Its sad and scary and I just feel the most comfortable with writing about it. Its oddly therapeutic. What inspires you?
Everything inspires me. Something someone says, a tv show, a song. My imagination running wild. Its not hard to come up with a good book idea.
As we know your a writer, so let's talk about writing.
When did your writing journey begin? In 2009 I started writing Wingless Series. This is when I took writing seriously and learned that there were people who enjoyed what I had to say. I always loved writing since I was eleven. I always wrote down my feelings and made up these silly stories that I never finished. I think I was meant to write and I am glad that I do. Explain your writing habits. Simple. I write when I can. Believe me I wish I could write everyday like I used to, but my life has changed and its harder now. But I do what I can when I can. And when I do its on my laptop listening to music. Are you looking for fame? No. I enjoy writing. Even if Amazon disappeared tomorrow I would still write even if nobody ever read it. Any advice to other writers going the indie route? My advice would be to believe in your work. Don't take anything to seriously. Everyone has an audience, nobody has to adjust to find one. Do what you love and you will continue to be happy doing it. Who is your favorite character from your books? Kenny Carlo from the Wingless Series. He is a dark brooding killing machine that will insult just about anyone. But at the same time he is such a sweet heart on the inside when he cares about you. And he is so funny. Which character is most like you?
Eve. She thinks to much and most days wants to punch someone or something in the face. Haha. We hear your writing a new series. What is it about? Death. Ooh shocker. Well there is an exciting twist to this series that I am excited for my readers to find out. I can't wait to get this one out there and continue writing more in the series. There is for sure a forbidden love in this book. That's about all I can say for now!
